Boarding & Training
Boarding and training…what does it mean and what is it all about?
Our boarding and training programs range from 2 weeks for young dogs that need foundations to 8 weeks for dogs experiencing behaviors related to fear, reactivity, or aggression. During that time, your dog would hang with us at Lead Your K9 headquarters to build up a variety of skills in order for us to help you turn your life around with your dog and reach your goals.
One thing we commonly hear is…"I’d really like to be a part of my dogs training process.”
Don’t worry…you will. You HAVE TO in order for it to be successful. Dogs are not computers, we don’t insert a new chip and they go home with a new program. The training and skills they receive must be implemented by you or their behavior will digress back to what it was prior to the program. That is why we work hard to incorporate the necessary education, coaching, and ongoing support to help you reach your goals with our unique and highly successful boarding and training process.
What kind of B&T’s are there?
Our boarding and training program offers the highest level of training available whether for puppy foundations, basic manners, off-leash training, or behavior modification. Am I Qualified for a B&T Program?
There are many reasons our clients opt for a boarding and training program. Some people realistically do not have the time to do the repetition work required to get their dog trained to the degree they need to have them be successful in their lives.
Another big reason people participate in our boarding and training is for behavior modification cases - where clients are experiencing a lack of or poor socialization, aggression, fear, fighting, biting, etc.
As long as you are dedicated to helping your dog we are dedicated to helping you.
We take on a limited number of board and train dogs at a time. These dogs receive a high level of one on one attention from our training director, Tony Stokes, and our highly educated training staff. Because each dog receives a customized program based on their behaviors and the goals of the family, those activities may vary.
